What is worship like?
We believe that worship is the core of who we are at Ben Washington Baptist Church. Being reminded that God is present among us is the focus of our time spent together. So we invite you to join in with us during the worship service. No matter your praise style we have a desire for you to lift up the name of Jesus. Worship is connecting with God during the time of fellowship with other believers. We encourage you to feel welcomed in our Worship service.
What happens when I visit?
We have a diverse culture at Ben Washington Baptist Church. We want “The Ben” to be a place where people feel like they can be themselves and encounter God’s life for them. For some, that will mean putting on their Sunday best. For others, that will be casual attire. Whatever you wear, you’ll find people engaging as believers. We want you to be comfortable and know that we believe that all who come in the name of Jesus Christ is welcomed.
What should I bring?
There are no rules as to what to bring to church, other than your self, an open heart and mind. Some bring a bible, if you’re going to engage in bible study. Most importantly, bring a HEART open to God and HIS word!
Can I invite people to come with me?
Ask your friends if they have a place to worship the Savior and invite them to come worship with you, especially at times like Christmas and Easter. If they aren’t Christians, ask them if they’d like to learn more about Jesus Christ and invite them to experience a Christian worship service with you.
What is the Main Doctrine of Teaching?
The Bible is the story of God’s interaction with humanity and our primary source for learning about our relationship with Him. We think church should be a place where the Bible is explained and you leave with a knowledge of the Word that can be applicable in your daily life. We are committed to teaching and preaching the Word of God and staying true to the Word of God.
